Kathak Dance Style💃✨️

Image
Kathak dance is my favorite Indian dance style. It is one of the oldest and classical dance forms in India. Meaning from the word " katha"  meaning story. Kathak dance is famous in the  North regions of India. North Indian Hindustani Music is used for kathak dance. Kathak has four main styles for Gharanas: Lacknow, Benaras, Raigarh, and Jaipur. IiIi Instruments like  T abla, pakhawaj, sarangi, and sitar are used for Kathak dance. The rhythm of this music fits perfectly with the foot movements of Kathak . Kathak dancers wear outfits like Lehenga, Long skirt, Choli, Chudidar Pijama, and Dupatta, and Adorn themselves with jewelry like Jhumar, Chudi, Armlets, and kardhani. Artists like  Brju Maharaj, Achchan Maharaj, and Kalkaprasad are very famous for Kathak. Dancers who master Kathak perform a "Ghunguru puja". I'm really looking forward to wearing Ghunguru one day.

I went to Anuradhapura🙏🌸

Image
One of my favorite places to visit is the Ruwanwelisaya in Anuradhapura. 🙏🙏🙏My mom and I went to worship at Ruwanwelisaya on March 7th. We left around 10 am. We went by bus. It was about 3.30 pm when we got there. We attended a "puja ceremony" near the Ruwanwelisaya. A famous thero  conducted the puja, and it continued until the next morning. A large crowd had pacitipated for it. We sat near the Ruwanwelisaya until next day  morning. The Ruwanwelisaya was beautifully decorated with bulb strings and flowers that night.  It felt really peaceful sitting near the stupa🌸.  The air was cool and the sound of birds filled the space in the morning. Offering flowers and lightning oil lamps. Everyone's very clam. That was a really blessed feeling. My mom and I worshipped Ruwanwelisaya early in the morning, then we worshipped the Sri Maha Bodhi, and left around 8 am to come home. It was a trip I really enjoyed.🤗
